Miami, FL Police Allocation Study

Police resource allocation is critical to a big city police department like Miami’s, where complex budgets and public demands make law enforcement particularly challenging. This performance review included a study of the deployment of patrol officers to meet calls for service and the balance of sworn staff and civilian personnel to handle investigative or administrative duties.

Richmond, VA Deployment Study

 

MGT conducted a study of the police department’s deployment practices and recommended changes in patrol district configurations, staffing levels, shift schedules, and use of special police units to provide greater police coverage. The MGT team conducted community focus groups and internal stakeholder interviews to ascertain perceptions and priorities of internal and external stakeholders.

Nashville-Davidson County, TN Performance Review and Assessment of Staffing

MGT was called in to do a comprehensive performance review of the Metro Nashville Police Department. We compared MusicCity’s police to peer departments around the country, and then evaluated specific administrative practices, staffing, and law enforcement duties. After identifying the department’s many strengths and its handful of weaknesses, we presented officials with a detailed long-range planning model to help the department achieve its goals and meet the expectations of the community.

Bonney Lake, WA Performance Review and Staffing Study

MGT conducted a performance and management review of the Bonney Lake Police Department designed to provide information and recommendations for city budget decisions, police department operations, and strategic planning. The study reviewed the department management, organization, budget, policies, staffing, equipment, capacity, and related variables that promoted the efficiency and effectiveness of the police department in meeting budget efficiency, police operation standards, and police response needs.

Organizational Assessment and Division Reviews of the Marion County Sheriff's Office

MGT conducted a comprehensive organizational assessment of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. Beginning with a high-level overview of the Law Enforcement Division, in which the project team reviewed the law enforcement division's calls for service data and deployment practices. The results will be used by the sheriff's department to meet the needs of the citizens by utilizing the most efficient and effective deployment strategy.

Analysis of the Police Patrol Staffing Requirements of the Tulsa, Oklahoma Police Department

MGT conducted an analysis of the police patrol staffing and deployment requirements. A plan was then designed to achieve effective deployment of the required number of patrol officers while remaining cost-effective.

City of Austin Public Safety Review

MGT conducted an assessment and evaluation of the City of Austin's police public safety operations. The assessment focused on the economy and efficiency of public safety operations with specific emphasis on the major cost drivers and service delivery improvements; management structure and organization of public safety, and community indicators and trends with respect to public safety outcomes. The assessment also covered the Office of Police Monitor, and three related City of Austin public safety departments, the Austin Airport Police; the Austin Parks Police; and the City Marshals.
