MGT Completes Assessment of Institutional Facility and Technology Capacity for the Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board

MGT completed a project with the Washington’s Higher Education Coordinating Board to assess the institutional facility and technology capacity needed to support the state’s enrollment goals. Previous capacity studies in Washington only focused on the facility capacity of the institutions. However, additional factors not related to facilities impact institutional capacity, e.g., the application and use of technology, local zoning, traffic, programmatic directions, and union negotiations. The project resulted in identifying the enrollment that could be accommodated by Washington’s higher education institutions, the enrollment that could be accommodated through eLearning, and the capital and operating costs by institution associated with meeting the enrollment goals.
